National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
Membership
Our members share a love of history and are proud to be members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). The NSDAR was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The New Jersey State Society (NJDAR) was organized April 29, 1891, and there are now 47 chapters in our state. The objectives of our society are historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
We recognize not just the soldiers but those who contributed to the cause. You can find out if your ancestor is already recognized by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution as an American Revolutionary patriot by visiting the NSDAR website and clicking on Research Your Family History link. It's possible that another family member has already joined the NSDAR under that ancestor, making your process faster and easier!
If you have a Revolutionary War patriot in your family tree, we would love to have you as a member. We will do our best to help you along your journey to becoming a member of NSDAR and our chapter.
